Cynthia’s Little Treasures Family Home Child Care provides a safe and healthy learning environment with a homestyle like setting that ensures a quality educational program for children from the ages of 6 weeks to 4 years and 5 months of age.

It is my belief that children need an opportunity to explore and experience a variety of activities to discover and encourage their self-help skills, social skills and to acquire good health habits. Children will be free to select materials and activities that involve discovery and problem solving that is designed by a knowledgeable and skilled childcare provider. Infants will be rocked, cuddled, and read to, to stimulate their sensory motor skills, as well as socialization skills. All children here at Cynthia’s Little Treasures will be viewed as a unique individual and activities will be planned to meet each child’s individuals needs.

My philosophy of child care is to provide an environment for the child:

  • As much like home as possible
  • Where learning happens as a result of fun that encourages socialization as well as independent play
  • To learn self respect as well as the respect of others
  • Where the child feels safe, secure and happy
  • Secure and assist child during separation transition
  • Provide nutritious meals and snacks
  • Provide appropriate reading throughout the day

My philosophy of child care is to provide for the parents/guardians:

  • Treat each child and parent with respect
  • Communicate with parent about child’s strengths and weaknesses
  • Ensure a safe environment
  • Promote a positive attitude of teamwork in areas relating to your child’s development.

My background experiences that support my philosophy include:

  • Ten years of working in child care facilities
  • Three years of working with infants, children and young adults with physical and mental disabilities at a home for the disabled

I am the parent of four grown children, the oldest of nine children and I now attend Harcum College to continue my learning in Early Childhood Education.

My Goals in caring for your child are to:

  • Get to know your child’s interests, strengths and  challenges
  • Praise your child for good behavior and achievements
  • Introduce art, music (Jazz and Classical), social skills and constant reading
  • Provide individual attention for adult-child intereactions

I look forward to working with you as a team in providing a safe, healthy and fun learning environment for your child or children

Sincerely,

Cynthia R. Raymond, Owner

Cynthia's Little Treasures is based on the belief that every child in our care will be kept safe in a healthy environment. The Developmental Program is operated in the privacy of my home. The learning environment with a family like setting is for all the age groups who are enrolled there.

We build confidence for self esteem as well as the ability to problem solve. Social interaction amongst the children is encouraged to help develop their social emotion skills.

Our infants are held and rocked to ensure them that someone is always there. Older children are given the opportunity to explor, play, and experiment throughout the day. They are involved in everyday activities to assist in the development of their self help skills.

All students are introduced to Art, Music, Pre-Math and Reading activities

Healthy meals and snacks are provided throughout the day.
